A Guide to: Colours of the Seasons

Every season has its unique palette of colours that everyone gravitates towards. With this guide I hope to inspire you not only with the colours, but the different varieties of flowers.

Spring

A season full of light and playfulness. Many flowers are in season at this time of year, giving you lots of options you otherwise would not be able to get. Bright and fresh, it's like coming up for air at this time of year. After a hard Winter of dull skies, I so look forward to all of the beautiful blooms we get to see again!

Summer

A time when everyone heads to their cabins to enjoy the sunshine and warmth. There are so many directions one can go in Summer with florals. Popular options are neutral, light and airy; bursting with colours and textures, and neutrals with a few pops of colour(a perfect in between if you crave a clean look, but also love vibrancy).

Fall

I think it’s safe to say we all love Fall here in Winnipeg. A beautiful season full of colour, autumnal spices, and good food. For me, fresh rain on a cloudy Fall Day with a cup of coffee has always been comforting. Now, add in some fresh flowers to your setting and it's perfection.

Winter

It may be chilly, but it is also beautiful. I think we are so lucky to live in a place that gets so cold and can still enjoy fresh flowers. Weddings in Winter are severely underrated in my opinion. They burst with colours and warmth, in such a bold way. Winter greens, pinecones & berries are a few things that really pop in winter arrangements and bouquets.
